Darmorr Goldens reserves the right to first pick of any litter. The safety of our litter is of utmost importance. Due to Covid, we are not allowing families to visit until puppies go home at 8 weeks. Puppies will be picked for each family by Darmorr Goldens based on the puppy questionnaire showing families' interests, lifestyles, and activities. We will look at each family's lifestyle and temperament of each puppy when picking puppies. We will meet with each family virtually to discuss their puppy at 7 weeks of age. All puppies are AKC registered and sold on Limited Registration only. We do not sell puppies with breeding rights. Each puppy will have the Darmorr prefix in front of the official AKC registered name followed by a phrase from the litter's theme.
Puppy Information
Going Home
All Darmorr puppies will be current on vaccination. Puppies will be dewormed, microchipped, veterinarian checked and AKC registered at the time of going to their forever home.
Puppies will also go home with a receiving blanket they have used while with us, chew, food and literature.
Spayed/
Neutered
We ask that puppies are not spayed/neutered until they are 2 years.
Health
We health check all of our dogs. They have hip, elbow, heart, eyes, and genetic testing. We work closely with our vet from breeding to the time the puppies go home. A complete health record will accompany each puppy home stating the vaccinations dates, worming dates, and microchip numbers. These testing and in-home visits from our vet adds to the cost of the puppies.
Food
All puppies will go home with a three-day supply of dog food. Our puppies are fed Farmina Ancestral Grains dog food.
How Our Puppies Are Raised
Darmorr puppies are raised following the Puppy Culture Protocols combined with Avidog. Our puppies are raised in our home. They are raised in the hearth room that opens up to our kitchen and family room. They are exposed to daily household noises. They go outside at 5 weeks of age and are exposed to various sounds and surfaces found outside. We do evaluations on each puppy to ensure they go to the correct home.
Family Visits
Here at Darmorr we want our future families to feel involved in their puppy's life. We will post weekly updates of the puppy's development. At 7 weeks of age families will discuss with us on puppy placements.
All potential homes are required to fill out our Puppy Questionaire. Once the questionnaire is reviewed we will get back to each family. We will set a time up to either Zoom or have a conference call. We screen our families to ensure that our puppies go to the best home possible.
We do not currently have any puppies available. Our next litter is planned for 2024 with our Denver. We are currently adding potential families to our waiting list.
We do not ship our puppies. We require our puppy parents to pick their puppy up in person.
